Progressing in journalism can be just as competitive as breaking in. This session is designed for journalists with several years’ experience who are looking to move up, move sideways, or secure more senior newsroom roles.
ITN recruitment consultant Dan Sado will take an in-depth look at what makes a mid-career journalism CV stand out in a crowded field.
The first part of the session will focus on how to position your track record, leadership potential and specialist skills with clarity and authority. Whether you are targeting promotion, shifting beat, or applying for editor-level roles, we will look at how to present your experience strategically.
The second half will be a practical workshop, reviewing a selection of CVs and discussing what works, what does not, and why.
If you would like Dan to look at your CV during the session and give live feedback, please email events@womeninjournalism.co.uk in advance. You are welcome to change your name or anonymise your CV if you would prefer.
This session is open to journalists of all genders, including men and non-binary people.
**The session will be recorded and sent to everyone who has signed up after the session.**
