Breaking into journalism is competitive. This session is designed to help you give yourself the best possible chance, whether you’re about to graduate, early in your career, or navigating your first newsroom role.
ITN recruitment consultant Dan Sado will take an in-depth look at what actually makes a journalism CV stand out.
The first part of the session will focus on how to present your experience, skills and potential in a way that helps you get the job you want.
The second half will be a more practical workshop, reviewing a selection of CVs and discussing what works, what doesn’t, and why.
If you would like Dan to look at your CV during the session and give live feedback, please email events@womeninjournalism.co.uk in advance. You are welcome to change your name or anonymise your CV if you would prefer.
If you’re at the start of your journalism career and want clear, honest advice on how to improve your CV, this session is for you.
