Men Make The News, Says Survey

Research published today by the Fawcett Society shows how few women are 'making the news'.


A survey of national media published today shows how few women make the crucial editorial decisions that determine the headlines in both our newspapers and broadcast media.

Only 2 out of 17 (12%) editors of national newspapers are women, while all 17 deputy editors surveyed are men (1).
